KAYAHAN


In the 1970s, KAYAHAN became a well-known player in the hydraulics field with 20 years of experience. Adopting a production strategy based on demand, they developed a very wide product range: hydraulic presses, hydraulic pumps, steel structures, mine props, welded rollers, etc.

KAYAHAN is the first serial manufacturer of workshop-type presses in our country. Until 2000, approximately 10,000 special-purpose or workshop-type hydraulic presses were produced at KAYAHAN. For example, over 70 different special-purpose presses, such as artillery shell presses, rocket shell presses, dynamite capsule presses, electric detonator presses, and gas mask presses, were designed and manufactured for the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKEK), one of Turkey's long-established companies.

In 1975, KONSANTAŞ Konya Casting Machinery Industry and Trade Inc. joined the group, taking the first step towards becoming KAYAHAN Group. It is now also capable of casting. KAYAHAN was the first in Turkey to produce water and fire valves by casting and processing them. It has reached an annual production capacity of 10,000 units of these valves in various sizes from 60 mm to 500 mm.

In the 1980s, KAYAHAN (http://www.kayahan.com) produced the first 180-ton pig iron and 250-ton slag ladle cars in Turkey for the large iron and steel plants of Iskenderun Iron and Steel Works and Ereğli Iron and Steel Works. Thus, KAYAHAN, having entered the iron and steel sector, opened a new chapter. Also in the 1980s, KAYAHAN (http://www.kayahan.com) began producing shower table rollers for iron and steel factories in Turkey for the first time, and continued production until the late 1990s.

The 1990s were also the years when the production of hydraulic cylinders for iron and steel factories began. However, the first export of hydraulic cylinders for the iron and steel industry took place in 1992.

Since 2000, other production activities have been abandoned, and the company has focused solely on hydraulic cylinder production. Also in 2000, KAYAHAN, having fulfilled the requirements of the ISO 9001 quality standard, was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate.

In 2016, as a result of the merger of Kayahan Hidrolik Makina Endüstri ve Ticaret A.Ş. with KONSANTAŞ Konya Döküm Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., the KAYAHAN Group, consisting of KONSANTAŞ Konya Döküm Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., HİDROTUR Hidrolik Silindir Makine Metalürji ve Maden Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş., and KAYAHAN İç ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş., became the largest hydraulic cylinder manufacturer in Turkey in terms of dimensional capacity. With a honing capacity of up to 1.8m diameter or 23m length, all production processes for hydraulic cylinders manufactured at KAYAHAN A.Ş., excluding heat treatment, including hard chrome plating, honing, deep hole drilling, and welding, are carried out in-house. Having specialized in hard chrome plating for many years, Kayahan A.Ş. has also been able to perform chrome-nickel plating since the beginning of 2015. The company operates in an area of 73,000 square meters, of which 21,000 square meters are covered.

The company specializes in manufacturing custom-designed and large-sized industrial hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders for heavy industry applications. Its advantage lies in its machine park's ability to produce large quantities of these cylinders simultaneously. Its distinguishing feature is its 100% quality control during manufacturing and assembly.

Kayahan Inc., which expanded globally in the 1990s, exported 80% of its 2016 hydraulic cylinder production to Europe, primarily Austria, Germany, France, Russia, and Ukraine. Kayahan has maintained its leadership in Turkey's industrial hydraulic cylinder exports for many years. Kayahan Inc.'s production is carried out in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, EN 1090-2 Welding Acceptance, ISO 3834 Welding Management System, TURQUM Product Conformity, and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System standards.
